Re: web console

Do you have a local console that you can go into and check the settings from?

Re: web console

Depending on the version of your gsp, the commands might be different. If you can get the gsp prompt, key in ls (this is for lan status). If it isn't ls, then type he.

GSP Host Name: gumy
GSP> ls

LS

LAN configuration:
. MAC Address : 0x00306e395cb8
. IP address : 10.0.0.200
. GSP Host Name : gumy
. Subnet mask : 255.255.252.0
. Gateway address : 10.0.0.100
. Link state : Auto Negotiate
. Web Console Port Number : 2023

LAN status: UP and RUNNING

GSP Host Name: gumby

Re: web console

You should be able to just hit enter enter for the username and password. Then key in CNTL b

That should get you to the GSP prompt.

Re: web console

Hi dongming,

Since you dont know the user & the password, you must reset the webconsole into default factory set. On this process, you can configure the user, password & the IP for webconsole.

Check the url below (docID : KBRC00009417) about 'Resetting a Secure Web Console (J3591A)' :

http://www1.itrc.hp.com/service/cki/docDisplay.do?docLocale=en_US&docId=200000072440256

Hope this information can help you.

Cheers,

Re: web console

There is nothing on your server that stores the ip address assigned to the web console.

I suggest the following:

1) Educated guess, check your browser history.
2) check with networking department where I work you have to ask for an ip address, not just take one.

Re: web console

Hi all :
thanks a lot.
i don't the ip address of web console. but i know the subnet it has, so i connect it to my pc directly and set ip on that subnet for my pc, and then ping broadcast, it respones, so i know the ip of web console.

since i dont't know user /passwd either, so i have to reset it to factory set.
thanks you again. you give me many good idea.
