Forrester study proves value of HPE Compute Ops Management
HPE recently commissioned Forrester Research to conduct a Total Economic Impactโข (TEI) study to examine the potential return on investment enterprises may realize by deploying HPE Compute Ops Management to manage their distributed server infrastructure. The purpose of this study is to provide customers with a framework to evaluate the potential financial impact of HPE Compute Ops Management on their organization
New Forrester Total Economic Impact study on HPE Compute Ops Management
HPE Compute Ops Management transforms compute management with an as-a-service experience that delivers secure cloud agility to distributed compute infrastructure and provides task automation capability for efficient simplified lifecycle management, all with the additional benefit of global visibility and insight through a unified console.
To better understand the benefits, costs, and risks associated with this investment, Forrester interviewed customers with experience using HPE Compute Ops Management and surveyed those with experience managing HPE ProLiant servers. Prior to using HPE Compute Ops Management, these interviewees noted how their organizations struggled to manage remote servers. Firmware updates and patches were time-consuming, inefficient, and difficult to complete within a specified maintenance window. Planned and unplanned server downtime was excessive, disrupting operations. And the inability to complete patches and updates in a timely fashion led to potential security vulnerabilities.
Key datapoints
HPE Compute Ops Management has been proven, through the customer study by Forrester to:
- Reduce time managing remote servers up to 75%.*
- The composite organizationโs IT team saved significant amounts of time managing edge servers with HPE Compute Ops Management.
- Avoid server downtime, up to 4.8 hours per server per year.*
- The interviewees found that with Compute Ops Management, edge server downtime was minimized.
- See a travel cost savings of up to $50K over three years.*
- With HPE Compute Ops Management, the composite organization can complete server management tasks remotely that previously required an IT team member to travel to the edge server location.
- Decommission other server management tools, up to $50.8K savings over three years.*
- The composite organization was able to decommission other server management tools after deploying HPE Compute Ops Management.
