HPE enhances HPE ProLiant Gen11 with 5th Gen Intel® Xeon® Scalable processors
Hot on the heels of Intel’s December 14th launch of their 5th Gen Intel® Xeon® Scalable processors, HPE introduces its enhanced HPE ProLiant Gen11 servers. With the addition of these newest Intel processors, enterprises like yours can be better prepared to support hybrid IT and deliver an intuitive cloud operating experience to end-users.
As data demands keep pace with growth and evolution of business requirements, workloads continue to be stressed. The capabilities of today’s infrastructure are often pushed to their limits, demanding that organizations strengthen their IT foundation. To meet these challenges, HPE has enhanced its recently launched HPE ProLiant Gen11 portfolio of servers by adding new 5th Gen Intel® Xeon® Scalable processors. Our HPE ProLiant Gen11 servers are designed and purpose-built to optimize workload performance and utilize these next generation Intel processors to their best advantage.
Check out some of the cool, new performance highlights of our advanced HPE ProLiant Gen11 servers with 5th Gen Intel® Xeon® Scalable processors:
- Better overall performance. Support for up to 64 cores per processor, resulting in 21% improved overall performance[i] as compared to 4th Gen Intel® Xeon® processors.
- Enhanced memory features for latency-sensitive and memory-bound workloads. Up to 5600 MT/s (increase of 16)[ii] and 2.7x increased last level cache[iii] compared to 4th Gen Intel® Xeon® processors.
- Enhanced I/O. Up to 25% higher UPI speeds than the previous generation[iv].

Meet HPE Blogger Vineet Deshpande
Vineet is the vice president of product marketing for the HPE Compute business, including its flagship HPE ProLiant brand of servers. In this capacity, he oversees all aspects of product marketing and messaging, as well as the HPE Compute go-to-market strategy.
Vineet is a seasoned technology executive with previous experience in product marketing at Dell Technologies, and strategy consulting firms like Roland Berger and Kline & Co. He holds an MS and MBA in Economics and Marketing from Arizona State University, and is based in Austin, Texas.
