Re: AIO 600 Discovery error

try that
jyp
1. Stop the HP All-in-One Storage manager (ASM) Server service.

2. Rename these two files:

o hpkas-sandbox.bin

o hpkas-jobhistory.bin

3. Restart the HP ASM server service.

Re: AIO 600 Discovery error

I can't find hpkas-jobhistory.bin

I tried rename the other file and restart and no change.

Re: AIO 600 Discovery error

edit file called hpkac-config.xml
and hpkas-config.xml using notepad
replace informational field by tracing
restart service then provided .log file
in c:\
that will enabled full tracing do not forget
to revert after this test
thanks

Re: AIO 600 Discovery error

Yes it worked before. I had two iSCSI targets on two servers and two local shared folders.. One iSCSI exchange and one iSCSI just a folder. I deleted the Exchange share and AIO Manager worked fine for about a week. About 4 days ago the server had a hard lock and I had to do a power reset to get it back. About a day later AIO Manager started giving me the discovery error.

Re: AIO 600 Discovery error

hello
could you please edit and post file called
the hpkas-state.xml
then rename the hpkas-state.xml to .old
also rename the hpkas-sandbox.bin to hpkas-sandbox.old
then restart aio services or reboot
and let me know how is going on
thanks

Re: AIO 600 Discovery error

Ok I renamed both those files and now I can see my shares in the AIO manager and schedule snapshots. I have also attached the xml file. Do I need to do anything else or am I good to go?

Re: AIO 600 Discovery error

I had same problem on X1600 which I belive is the AIO1200, but this solution worked.  I had been looking for months...Many many thanks peyrache

I had to reboot before Automated Storage Manager would try a new Discovery after renaming the files and it took about 5 minutes.

stop HP Automated Storage Manager service

rename the hpkas-state.xml to .old
rename the hpkas-sandbox.bin to hpkas-sandbox.old

reboot
