HPE StoreEasy 1660 - Only single Volume
We recently purchased HPE StoreEasy 1660. We are unable to create multiple volumes using Management Console. We are able to create only single volume. If we create volumes outside Management Console, using disk management, message is shown in Management Console as This volume was created outside of StoreEasy best practice guidelines..
Its running Windows Server 2019 firmware 6..100.0a and we tried to update firmware to 6.20.0d / 7.00.0a but for both these firmwares, only release notes are getting downloaded. It looks like the firmwares have been removed by HPE.
WE had opened case with HPE support but they have not provided any solution.
This is our first HPE NAS. We are using Infortrend NAS and have created Multiple Volumes.
Does HPE NAS allows only one volume creation i.e. the entire RAID 5 or 6 Logical drive to be confgured as sinble volume?

Re: HPE StoreEasy 1660 - Only single Volume
Hello @ncat,
Thank You for reaching out to HPE Community Forum. We are happy to answer your question.
You can create multiple volumes in the StoreEasy management console.
- Make sure to have the required number of drives for RAID 5 or RAID 6
- Here is the Link to the RAID Configuration, Page No 17 - https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/docDisplay?docLocale=en_US&docId=a00048291en_us
- You can refer to this document when creating a volume - https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/docDisplay?docId=a00112781en_us&docLocale=en_US&page=s-create-volume.html
- We also have a video on creating volumes using the StoreEasy management console - https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/videoDisplay?videoId=vtc00000318en_us
Thanks & Regards,
