NAS 1000s Quick Restore "System Hang" on reboot
I am trying to restore our NAS 1000s to the factory default installation.
I get the "Quick Restore" DVD to start o.k. and it displays the copying data status bars (and there is DVD/disk activity).
When I come back to it, the DVD has been ejected, and a message is on the console "Failed to boot from all devices, System hang".
I took one of the disks out of its caddy, put it in a PC, and noticed that it seemed to have a normal NAS disk directory setup.
Any ideas why it may noot be booting ?.
Thanks,
Rod.

I've had the exact same issue, has anyone found a fix for this?

Re: NAS 1000s Quick Restore "System Hang" on reboot
I believe there is an updated version of the System Recovery DVD here:

Worth a try...

Re: NAS 1000s Quick Restore "System Hang" on reboot
Hi Aaron,
Thanks very much for your reply.
That does mention it's platform specific;
"Only for use with the HP X1000/X3000 Network Storage System using Microsoft Windows Storage Server 2008, STD/ENT Editions"
This is the NAS1000s, any idea if I'll do more damage than good by trying this?
