Storeeasy 1660 connection to internet , not lo local network

Hi
We have two StoreEasy 1660, we have configured a network team of only one NIC (nic4), using the Network Configuration Tool (NCT) wizard.

The StoreEasy was successfully added to the domain and can navigate to the internet (for update purposes).

Any machine in the same IP range can not make a ping to both StoreEasy, but from StoreEasy I can make a ping to the other machines.

I disable the StoreEasy Firewall.

I see that when created the network team appears two virtual network adapters in the Control Panel\Network and Internet\Network Connections.

One virtual network adapter has the Name and the network parameters that were set with the Network Configuration Tool (NCT) wizard, the other virtual network adapter has the domain name but is with DHCP.

How many virtual network adapters should appear one or two ( if I only have configured a team of 1)?

Some clue?

Okay if you can ping out but not get a return ping that could be an issue with the default gate and the subnet mask.  Can you verify the subnet mask can you do a tracert from an Administrator command prompt?  What is the difference between the StoreEasy box going out and the client machine pinging the StoreEasy box?

If you open the server manager and click on the local server. if you click on the local server you should see teaming enabled and you should see a single network listed and it should be name of the team.  if you click on the team is should open the Windows teaming application you should see two network card listed as part of team.  Both should have a green icon showing they are online and responding.  You should also see the name of the team you created.

If you open the network configuration utility you should see two network cards marked with blue and you should be able to see another network card marked with a server icon and a green card.   the icon that is not the standard network card should be where you have address configured.  if you go into the properties of the other card it should only show a single check mark on the Microsoft Network Adapter Multiplexor Protocol.

there are a couple of ways to look for Errors related to teaming in the event logs.

MsLbfoProvider event log.

To access the MsLbfoProvider event log, you can follow these steps:

  1. Open the Event Viewer by typing “Event Viewer” in the search bar and selecting the app from the results.
  2. In the left pane of the Event Viewer window, click on Applications and Services Logs.
  3. Expand the Microsoft folder and then select Windows.
  4. Scroll down and select MsLbfoProvider.
  5. The MsLbfoProvider event log will be displayed in the right pane of the Event Viewer window.
  6. The other way is Open the Event Viewer by typing “Event Viewer” in the search bar and selecting the app from the results.
  7. In the left pane of the Event Viewer window, click on Windows Logs and then select System.
  8. In the right pane, click on Filter Current Log.
  9. In the Event sources drop-down menu, select MsLbfoProvider.
  10. Click on OK to apply the filter.
  11. The filtered log entries will be displayed in the right pane of the Event Viewer window.

All other network cards that are not part of the team can be disabled In the network properties pages.

The other information is the Team configured as switch dependent or switch independent?

Re: Storeeasy 1660 connection to internet , not lo local network

Hi,

The problem was with the network information that the final customer gave to make the configuration.

The IP address that initially was delivered was used for other equipment registered in the DNS server (DNS server not clean)

We set the IP delivered by DHCP to the hosts  (StoreEasys) and all is working in the right way.

Teaming was solved by enabling the team in the Microsoft setting

Thank you
