This system does not appear to be a Proliant Storage Server

We have a DL320S G1 Storage Server that we cant seem to get running. It's partner is just fine. The current error is "This system does not appear to be a Proliant Storage Server" when we try to run a System Installation and Repair. Prior to this failed boot attempt we have error - 1716 тАУ Unreadable media error during previous rebuild тАж errors will be fixed when sectors are overwritten. Backup and Restore is recommended.
When we do boot into the current OS, we get a blue screen that indicates a license problem. We are going on week 2 for this server being down and our local vendor is unable to resolve the issue Can any one out there help us? Have you had this issue before?

Sound familliar, try to (re)set the product ID in the BIOS. I had similar issues with an DL380SS that lost the 'proper' product ID after a Firmware upgrade.

Now why didn't our local HP provider know this? It worked like a dream!

I have the same problem... I'm not seeing a place in the BIOS to set the product ID? Asset Tag is the nearest thing... serial number is grayed out.
