5gb external win2k backup errors

i have a colorado 5gb external travan drive that was working fine. i recently upgraded my computer to win2k from winnt workstation. i downloaded all the files including CB II ver 9.0 and thought i had it working. when i back up files from the server (winnt 4. server) now some of the files don't back up due to message "error reading data:the specified network name no longer valid." most files in the same directory backup no problem. the files it does not backup it lists as corrupt (they are not corrupt). hp phone support has been no help. anyone else run in to this problem and have a reason or fix? If not, is there a tape drive out there that works on win2k and can back up winnt server files over a network?

It may not be working because of your network connection, that drive was never designed for network backup. Make sure you're not running too many programs while you try to backup. The other thing you can do is reboot your computer and check the bios settings. Look under intergrated periferals for the Paralell port settings, make sure it is ECP. Your parallel port may be too slow to backup your network files
