Array Controller

Hi All,

I have newly installed a MSA 1000 tape Array with the server DL 580 G5 with OS Linux. But I failed to find out the Array controller as the system shows no array controller. Can anyone guide me what to do????

You should ask linux related questions in the linux subforum - this is for hp-ux.


Anyway, your system should see the MSA controller and MSA volumes if the zoning and presentation is configured correctly.


Example:

hp_rescan -a
Rescanning /proc/scsi/qla2xxx/0...
Rescanning /proc/scsi/qla2xxx/1...

Scanning /proc/scsi/qla2xxx/1, target 0, LUN 32


scsi0 00 00 00 COMPAQ MSA1000 4.48 RAID
scsi0 00 00 01 COMPAQ MSA1000 4.48 Direct-Access
scsi0 00 00 02 COMPAQ MSA1000 4.48 Direct-Access
...
