Analysis already have been done. If summarizing everything, then:
- you should use HP DLT IV 'C5141F' tapes;
- make sure you did not use these tapes in other drives (as soon as this one is DLT1 drive, as Brian Rawlings stated);
Simply try one HP C5141F new (just bought and unpacked) tape and see how it will go
