Cleaning LED on DAT72

The cleaning LED is blinking after every backup now. I've tried to use brand new tapes and brand new cleaning tapes but that doesn't help. I've also run some of the diagnostics from the "Storageworks Library & Tape Tools" but it doesn't report any errors. Firmware is also up to date.

Any suggestions?

get the part replaced.I had same issue and the only way was to replace the streamer

What exactly is the streamer? Is this easy to replace?

The streamer unity is the whole device!

So I'm probably better off buying a brand new unit then? If not could you direct me to where I could find a replacement part?

It depends if you live in a country where HP mantains repair centers so you may ask an estimate cost.
If your device is under warranty HP will replace it, otherwise you have to buy a new one
