Colorado 5gb external tape drive & windows xp

Does anyone know how (or if) I can configure Windows XP to recognise my tape drive and if there is any backup software which is compatible with it.

There is no software that currently supports external Travan drives on XP. However I have been able to get it to work with a Windows 2000 shuttle driver (from hp.com) and backup software called "back up my PC" (stompinc.com). No guarantees
knowlegde is key to what?
