Compatible scsi controller with TSL-10000 Compaq AutoLoader

controller: Symbios Logic 875XS|D, 2280X PCI SCSI Adapter

Running on a compaq deskpro pentium III
operating system windows 2000 professional


attempting to load Compaq Auto Loader 20/40 (TSL-10000)

the drive is recognized, the loader is sometimes, but when attempting to put the drive through a read-write test, I keep getting write protect errors and I know the tapes are not write protected.
