DLT8000 Autoloader
We are having a problem with our DLT8000 mech. and it is reporting sram errors. We tried replacing the sram IC's and still get sram errors reported. HELP!

Download Library and Tape Tools Diagnostic and make sure your firmware is current and the drives tests out OK. There is also a DLT 80 acceptance test you can run to verify if the drive is working. Choose test, put a check in the box for your drive, scroll down through he test events. http://h18006.www1.hp.com/products/storageworks/ltt/index.html

HP cannot support repair attempts at component levels. If you lose the firmware there are no public tools for you to update. Also there can be parameters set in the controller which match its particular mechanism. I suggest you arrange a unit exchange.
