HP Ultrium 230
During the backup process I received this error EVENT ID 9:
source: sym_u3
message: "The device, \Device\Scsi\sym_u3, did not respond within the timeout period"
Is it a hardware problem of my device?
The backup process is interrupt each time.

Re: HP Ultrium 230
this message is a time out errror, You need to check what is connected to the Symbios comtroller. If you have the ultrium connected to it, run LTT to analyse the device, if you have HDD connected to it, run checkdisk to analyse it.
Error can be generate also by poor communication between HBA and device, check cable and connectors for bent pins, and replace terminators
