DPESS Job Capacity
We are migrating to Data Protector Express Single Server Edition v 3.5 from various other tape backup products.
The HP guide recommends that you determine the capacity of a particular Job so you can manage tape usage more efficiently. Arguable advice for large businesses but reasonable for us.
New to DPESS we cant seem to find the very common function that estimates size of a job before you write to tape. We currently simply remove tape from the drive and wait for the job to ask for the tape while the status displays the size of the backup job.
Are we missing something? Is there a straight forward command to estimate size somewhere?
