error 1401 HP Data Protector express 6.0
I am facing HP Data Protector Express 6.0 error 1401 (insert appropriate media) under Windows 2008, 64bit. I checked with Yosemite 10.0, HP Data Protector 7.0 and facing same error.
I tried same Tape drive on other Server, no problem observed. Any body knows this problem and solution, please send me on taher.qureshi@abdulla-fouad.com
regards.

Re: error 1401 HP Data Protector express 6.0
Hi
>Make sure you have formatted the Media
>Might be a wrong tape of the rotation set.
>The database is not able to verify or identify the media content.
>Run a Media assesment test using Library and tape tools
>Try another media,
Most of the time new medias are forgotten to be formatted, after formatting using the backup software this issue is resolved.
I work for HPE
