Event Code: 0x82 - cleaning request
Hi, we have a HP StorageWorks 1/8 G2 Tape Autoloader.
It's begun to request a drive cleaning. I've done this, but it repeats the request.
I've changed the tapes in the autoloader and even changed the cleaning tape, but have had no joy.
To my mind this is looking like a faulty drive, but wanted to get some advice. Are there any other troubleshooting steps I can take?

The unit sounds like it needs servicing. Or maybe new read write heads fitting to in.
We had ours done here. Was a great service with a years warranty on the unit.
