Hi,
We have an HPE 1/8 G2 Autoloader and the old IT administrator updates the firmware of this hardware long time ago. Now when I login to check if all configuration is fine, I saw this "warning":
"FIPS Secure Mode Mismatch - The drive firmware loaded on one or more drives does not match"
Can you help me? The information about loader and drive is:
Autoloader Information Serial Number confidential info erased Product ID 1x8 G2 AUTOLDR Currently Installed Autoloader Firmware 5.80 / 2.80n Bootcode Firmware Revision 0.82 Barcode Reader SE625 Autoloader Mode Automatic, Random WWide Node Name 50014380272E5CC0 Autoloader Controller Version LCM 1.1
Drive Information (LUN) Vendor ID HPE Product ID Ultrium 8-SCSI Serial Number confidential info erased Firmware Revision N4Q1 Physical Drive Slot Number 1 Element Address 1 Autoloader LUN Hosted By Drive Yes Data Compression Yes Interface Type Fibre Channel
Thanks a lot for the support!

Hi,
Okay, but I can't download the firmware because this hardware has not warranty from 1 year ago.
Can you send me the same firmware version? Not the last update, only the same correct version to donwload, install and fix my problem please?
Cheers, Juan.

Re: FIPS Secure Mode Mismatch - The drive firmware loaded on one or more drives does not match
Hello @Juan3DP
Thank you for contacting HPE.
In general the device FW is released in 2 versions. Secured FW and General FW. If the device is been upgraded earlier with secured version FW. Then you will not be able to upgrade them using the General version and vice-versa.
The easier way out is to install LTT Tool (https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/swd/detail?swItemId=MTX_bd488e2367e84c409640907c65) and follow the guide to upgrade the FW. This will choose and download the right FW for the device and upgrade it.
Also you can use the following link to download the right FW version for MSL G3 Robot and LTO8 drive and use LTT to upgrade.
https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/swd/detail?swItemId=MTX_337199ab403b4c239debc42378#tab2
Hope this helps. Let us know if you have any queries.

Re: FIPS Secure Mode Mismatch - The drive firmware loaded on one or more drives does not m
Hi @NarayanKK-SO ,
I try the software LTT Tool but It don't recognice the hardware at this moment, the FC cable is disconnected because we are waiting one expansion card to connect again. The other Ethernet Cables are connected. I think is for this reason.
And I can't download the correct version because the hardware is out of warranty, the old IT administrator didn't check the log after update... The hardware have the 5.80 version, but the bad one, so can you give to me, on a personal message, the link to download the same version but the correct one? To fix the problem. Because I know that without warranty I don't have access to updates, but for that reason, I only want the same version but the correct one to fix my issue.
Thanks!
