How to change the robotic path
Hi All,
I have my robotics configured on Win 2003 Standard edition SP2 server. Till Last week the Robotic path was shown as Changer1:0:0:1 but we have rebooted the server and we got an error saying "Cannot open exchanger Controller device, the system cannot find the path specified" so i have configured the devices again in DP but the address is change to Changer0:0:0:1.
Please advise me on how to change the Robotic path (Ex: from Changer0:0:0:1 to Changer1:0:0:1).

Re: How to change the robotic path
Hi,
When this occur you can use the following.
Go to the tape for the rebotic controller.
There you have 3 options.
Client
scsi address of the library robotics
configured paths
To rescan his address
Select the client in the configured paths
In the SCSI address bar you find the adress configured.
Select the drop down button on the right side of this bar, wait a few seconds and a drop down menu wil open with the same or a new scsi address.
Select this old/new adres and click on the button SET on the right side.
Click apply, and the new adres should be configured.
To avoid this in the future, put the flag on near automitically discover changed scsi address.
