HP Colorado 5gb Travan Internal backup software
I have installed a HP colorado 5gb travan internal tape drive on a server running Windows 2000 Server. I have down loaded from the Hewlett Packard site the Colorado Backup sorftware for Windows 2000 & Windows 2000 Pro and the colorado backup software for Windows NT 4.0. When I try to install the backup software I get a message that this software will not work with Win 2000 Server. Is there Colorado Backup Software that will work with Win 2000 Server?

Re: HP Colorado 5gb Travan Internal backup software
Have you tried the native backup app in win2k?
(Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools -> Backup)
It's a version of Veritas backup.

Colorado Backup won't install on any server platform, BTW.

Re: HP Colorado 5gb Travan Internal backup software
Hi Ted,
David is right. You CANNOT use Colorado Backup software in a server platform. It is not compatible. You need to use a software that is compatible with your server platform such as tapeware. You may download Tapeware (a 30-day free trial version) from www.tapeware.com
I hope this solves your issue. Good luck
