HP-DAT drive problem
Hi guys,
This is my first question in this forum.My HP-9000 system DAT drive getting stop working.The problem is the DAT get struck in while taking bakup and then the LED on DAT drive also stops glowing,Then i am restarting the system again its start working.Now this problem accuring frequently.
Please kindly anybody advice me.

If the system/drive is under maintenance with HP, place a service call and get them to replace drive. The drive is had it. Depending on the model, you could get it replaced with out a shutdown.

Ravikanth,
I would agree with Michael entirely. Its sounds like the drive is shot especially if the leds are being extinguished, though this could be an internal cabling issue.
Either way its Stick a fork in it - its done as they say ! Call relevant Engineer.
