HP StorageWorks Ultrium 1840 drives, 2 of 4 drives not visible to host
From the front panel all the 4 drives are installed correctly, and visible.
For the host Windows 2008, I have zoned the new FC onto the tapelibray zone on the Fabric Switch. I am able to detect the two extra drives using HP LTT, but cannot connect to the two new drives. Windows 2008 cannot see the two new tape drives. Only the old drives are visible and working fine.
Is there a configuartion that needs to be done that i am missing?

Then you should assign that map to the Host that need to see these tape drives

Re: HP StorageWorks Ultrium 1840 drives, 2 of 4 drives not visible to host
what is the default IP to connect to the FC card on the Tape Library, the c00637161 mentions 1.1.1.1 IP, but I still cannot connect on this IP. The serial cable is not giving me any response as well.

Re: HP StorageWorks Ultrium 1840 drives, 2 of 4 drives not visible to host
If you cannot connect via network, consider to establish a serial connection.
Then you need to adjust the mapping, this means what host WWN is allowed to see which drive.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
