HP-UX 11v1 + Quantum i40 FC connected LTO

Hello
We have a rp3440 hp-ux 11.v1 with Tachyon XL2 FC card. Running DataProtector 6.11 and need to add the LTO Drive(s).

The FC-Connectino is going directly from server and into tape device.

I have a query on how to create device-files for FC-devices?

In DataProtector I have connection with the 'picker', but can not access the LTO

NO_HW in ioscan means the device WAS visible, but it no longer is ...

my general question was how to make device file.. the device is back on again now after a reboot.

when in SAM I choose create device file, I get

should say Minor-number.. 203 is major, x is minor

looking for tips on how to configure FC-lto tapedrive in DP6.11. Not sure if I need a device file but assume so..?

In Omniback, when adding Device - AutoConfigure, the Quantum:Scalar i40-i80 Robotic path is detected but it says "No drives found".

Maybe your stape driver is just too old and needs patching ...
