Is it possible to specify which tapes a tape drive can read/write to? (HPE MSL3040)

I have a MSL3040 Tape Library that has two Ultrium-8 Tape Drives. Each drive is connected to a separate server that uses some backup software.

I've already created two partitions. Partition 1 has one Tape Drive and slots 1-20 and Partition 2 has the other Tape Drive and slots 21-40.

Is it possible for me to configure Tape Drive 1 to only be able to read/write tapes with a specific barcode? (Ex. 000001L8 - 0000010L8 can only be used by Tape Drive 1)

Hi a_g1,

Modifying data verification partitions

You can modify the data verification partition to change the number of drives, slots, or mail slots. The Modify/Delete partition option is available after the creation of partition. You can modify the data verification partition only when data verification is not running.
