Hi Guys,
I have an MSL 2024 with dual LTO-6 drives that each have a port A and a port B for a total of 4 ports. Do I need to use a fanout cable (1 x SFF 8644 to 4 x SFF 8088) and use both ports A and B on each drive to connect to a single port on my ATTO H1280 (it has dual 8644 ports). Or do I need to use two single 1 x SFF 8644 to 1 x SFF 8088 cables to connect port A on both drives to both ports on the ATTO HBA?
The documentation is unclear but shows a fanout cable but I saw someone mention that I shouldn't use port B at all which would indicate that two separate single connector cables would be the way to go.
I'll be using Yoyatta Automation running on a Mac hence the ATTO H1280 card.
Thanks
M

you dont need to use port b but it is a failover port.
