MSL 4048 end of life? Prolonging warranty not possible?

Hi there,

in a chat with a very friendly HPE assistant my question could not really be answered, when the MSL 4048 will be end of life. So therefore I thought, we could prolong our warranty (just expired) with HPE directly. But I was given a link to "Partner Connect" for "extended warranty" so I don´t know what to do right now. We have to be sure to be able to download the newest firmwares in the next 5 years and not only get hardware parts or drives by a third party in a case of failure. Is there any help?

Hello Tino,
There's no End of Life details available for the MSL 4048 yet. You should be able to extend the carepack for the unit. You could reach out with the HPE Sales team for the contract / carepack renewal - https://www.hpe.com/us/en/contact-hpe.html
