MSL and VTL

hi ALL,

i am using Backup Exec for data backup which connected with one MSL Tape Library (via SCSI cable) and one VTL (via Fibre).

if one backup job is running and backing up data to the VTL, is it possible to run another backup job for the MSL tape library?

it should work as you have two different library configured.

do you have a issue ?

if the jobs are managed by the same host, you may face performance issue.

when i using VTL for backup, if i run another backup job on MSL, the new created job will run as a "queue" status?

anyone can help?
