Hi
Hope you all safe and well.
Just a Q regarding on how to connect to the MSL2024 RMI
1. Poweron 2024, after (rack mount, remove shipping lock, etc)
2. Set admin password via the OCP. (no default password)
3. Plugin ethernet cable to the 2024 ethernet port and to laptop
4. Open browser (Chrome, etc)
5. Enter library default IP (OCP>find default IP>Network Screen)
6. Open browser - type> https://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx (do I add /80) or no?
7. Select account type: Administrator (password if required)
8. Configure the 2024 network setting, etc...
Q: When adding the network configuration does the deault IP address change to the new IP address, so the new assigned IP address will be use next time to connect to the RMI?
Q: Must I do firmware upgrade as well if not on the current? (link contract) (can do from RMI or OCP-from usb)
Q.. Which firmware file is the correct one for the 2024 / drives? I see there is frm and frm.sig
LTO6 : LTO_6250_35PW_MSL-G3-Series.frm and LTO_6250_35PW_MSL-G3-Series.frm.sig
2024: MSL2024_7.20.frm and MSL2024_7.20.frm.sig
Thank you in advance, and be safe.

Upgrade the firmware through HP LTT if you are able.

Re: MSL2024 RMI
Hi
after setting the administrator password and getting the default IP via OCP, can you already connect via the network to the TL ethernet port via the browser to the TL RMI?
Thank you

Re: MSL2024 RMI
Consider to open your own thread.
Such hijacking of threads is always confusing.
However, the default setting is DHCP. You can set your own fixed address using the front panel. Then you can connect via "normal" network connection.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
