Re: Problem Restoring data

Hi, thank you for answering.
Its werry hard to get logs out of this machine due to security.
But I guees Im doing something wrong.
The backup log shows completet, without errors, and verify is on during backup.
I select restore spesific wizzard, selects
the folder i need to restore, puts the tape in, and selects run now,
afther 10 sec it ejects and say wrong or incompatable media.
Can you please tell me the correct procedure for the restore task, this tape is about 2 mnds old if that matters.
The import media runs without errors.

Re: Problem Restoring data

Well... are you sure the version you are selecting for restore is on that media?...

Maybe you are not selecting the correct version.

Re: Problem Restoring data

Hi..
Version ??
I have tried about all my medias, and
different files/folders, just to check.. same problem
I can see from my log that the tape contains
about 150gb data, so it got to besomething there,,
Is there a way to .."list" the tape to werrify
the contens..
Is there a better sw to do this than the
Hp dataprotector 3.5 sp1 ??

Re: Problem Restoring data

No, it is not a matter of being bad... the problem is that I work more with DP and not DPX, and it is more difficult for me to help you...

Either way, the sugestion I was making was for you to be sure the the backup version (as in, the backup session you want to restore) is really on that tape, and not on other.

But maybe someone else who has a closer experience with DPX can help you more...
