problem with C5683A

I have a SureStore DAT 40e (C5683A), it don't pass the test and eject the tape (new tape). I've downloaded the last firmaware (C305) but the error continues. I want to know, how can I downgrade version of firmware (only for test) and if is possible run calibrate script for this model.

You can downgrade the firmware, but you need a special password for this.
You need to open a call with the HP Support Center and explain your problem, they could then give you a temporary pwd for the downgrade.
I don't think you can recalibrate a DDS4 drive, script is just for DDS3.
You can try to clean several time with a new cleaning cartridge and see if the problem desapear
