Storagework DLT VS80 external fails to update firmware

When i try to update firmware with hpltt, it fails with the following error.

I/O Exception (Sense Key:5,Sense Code: 0x248E - 'Invalid personality for CUP')

My drive got SCSI terminator. I also try to update with another machine but the result is the same. (DL380, Proliant 800).

Run a ltt device analysis and then extract the support ticket and attach the file please.

I'm using the old version of LTT, can't open your log. I'm trying to download the newer version... But I can't donwload..

Which version are u using? So i'll downgrade my ltt.

can you tell me wich files you have under
hp storageworks L&TT\firmware\ ?

I cannot select your suggested firmware.

Hi Supakij,

LTT is preventing you from flashing the drive with a wrong personality FW hence the I/O exception. The latest FW version is V065 and we always suggest using the latest LTT version (i.e. LTT v 4.2 SR1a).
