Hi
A simple question I hope. Should it be possible to use a storageworks msl2024 library (dual ultrium 448 model) with windows server 2003 ntbackup?
I'm aware of the issues with removable storage manager and that better functionality could be achieved by using a backup application such as backupexec, however should it be possible to use ntbackup and the msl2024 library?

Yes the 2024 works with 2003 server NTBackup. http://www.hp.com/support/msl2024 then select your library and OS to get the driver.
I never recommend using NTBackup because the performance with Ultrium drives is almost always poor but it does work.
