SURESTORE DAT 24 TAPE DRIVE backup error !!

Hi,

My DAT24 tape stop unexpected during backup and shows the error message as below, does anyone know how to fix it?

System: Windows XP PRO
Intel P4 2.8C, 1GB Ram
Tape: C5708A (New)& run cleaning cartrige before backup.

Error Message:
The requested media failed to mount. The operation was aborted.
The operation was ended.
Backup completed on 11/10/2004 at 6:00 PM.
Directories: 8709
Files: 46201
Bytes: 18,792,534,513
Time: 3 hours, 25 minutes, and 49 seconds

In some cases where this error has been reported the issue turned out to be a hardware problem (firmware, drive, etc.)

Here is a thread that might help you troubleshoot the issue.
