tape install
how do i get an HP35480A tape drive to show a drive number e - f etc... on an XP windows machine?
it has been loaded correctly

I do not know if there's NT backup in windows XP so you can try it. Otherwise you have to install backup application. You may check device manager to see if tape device working correctly

Hi.
You cannot. The drive cannot be used as a disk drive, therefore it neither has nor gets a drive letter. Only way to use it is to use a backup application. In windows system you have NTBackup and you have anoter BU application in the CD that you got with the drive.
