Timings for pre/post commands for backup object in DPE

I'm running Data Protector Express 3.10-sp4 and want to run some pre and post backup execution commands.

I notice from the docs included that it states:

NOTE: If a command takes more than 15 seconds to execute, Data Protector Express continues the job. This is a precaution in case the command fails in some way, which would prevent Data Protector Express from continuing. If the command must be run, we recommend that you assign it to the next object up in the tree view.

My pre backup command will take way over 15 seconds to complete. And i don't understand waht they mean by "assign it to the next object up the tree".

The pre backup command is specific to this backup object and shouldn't be applied to any other backup object.

Anyway to force the command timeout to be more than 15 seconds ?
