Need help about StoreOnce License

I have 4TB license of StoreOnce already and I would like to add more 4TB license of StoreOnce that I had purchased.

But I don't know how to activate it. Because the license that HPE sent to me on yesterday was issue on 2014.

Would you please help. Thank you in advance.

Is that VSA you are using? Gen3 or Gen4?

Hello @SadProN,

If the license you haved is dated 2014, that is probably a Gen3 license.
Gen3 licenses will not work on Gen4 VSA.
If you have the contact of HPE licensing team, please report to them that you have received Gen3 license in place of Gen4 VSA license. Ask for the correct license file.
Please provide them the serial number of the system to validate.

Note: Licenses are tagged with the serial number of the product. Please validate that you have purchased the license for this VSA only. If the license file was tagged for another VSA, that will not work on this VSA.

May I know how to convert the license to Gen4?
Or if not, Is it works if I deploy it on the new base system?

Hello @SadProN,

Serial number is not required here. If you are contacting the licensing team, you can provide that to them.

Gen3 licenses are not convertible to Gen4. If you were intended to purchase Gen4 license, but by mistake you got Gen3 license, then the licensing team can assist you to correct it.
