Unable to create virtual libraries with Data Protector Express 3.1

I am new to Data Protector Express and I am trying to create a D2D backup using a network share (not the server DPE is running on) I have access and premissions to the share however DPE is telling me: "A file that was required could not be opened." when I tryo to create the virtual library using the shared drive? Any ideas?

Re: Unable to create virtual libraries with Data Protector Express 3.1

This is not supported on Data Protector Express 3.1. Please upgrade to Data Protector Express 3.5 SP2. The upgrade files are avalable at http://hp.com/go/dataprotectorexpress.

Also, even after the upgrade it may not work in some situations. See response to

Re: Unable to create virtual libraries with Data Protector Express 3.1

Hi Mark:

When you create a DPX virtual library on a mapped shared drive, you need to use the universal naming convention to create the shared drive account where your virtual library is located e.g. Domain\User Account login.
