Good day
Weird question.
Does anyone know if it possible to take capacity expansion enclosures from old Gen3 StoreOnce5500 and use them on a Gen4 StoreOnce3620?
Basically transfer the SAS cards from the 5500 base unit to the 3620 base unit and then connect the capacity expansion enclosures to the 3620, reimage the 3620 and then have the capacity available to use on the 3620?
Reason for this is to utilize the Immutable option that comes with the Gen4 StoreOnce device which is not available on the Gen3 StoreOnce device.
Thanks

SolutionHi @CRD .
Each StoreOnce product has a fixed architecture, which is controlled by internal software. SO5500 and SO3620 based on the different HW and SW platform. Therefore, it is not possible to create a flexible architecture.
Regards, YA.
