ftp: connect: Network is unreachable

Hi,

We are facing ftp issue in our one rp7420 server, os is 11.23. From other server we are able to do ftp to this server, but from this rp7420, while doing ftp to other server following error is comming.
"ftp: connect: Network is unreachable"

Hi Vikas,

Do you have more information on the network side of things.

as the problems you might be having could be to do with ACLs, or even Routing.

Can you ping both ways to each of the servers ??

is part of your network down ??

what networking equipment is between the servers ??

Hi,

We able to ping & telnet from both sides. Networking equp. is cisco ethernet switch.

Hi Vikas,

Do you have any Access Control Lists stoping FTP in the other direction ??

don't forget at the bottom of an ACL is an implicit DENY.

If not, have you looked at the server to check whether it allows inbound FTP connections ??

Server will allow inbound ftp but not outbount.
