Hi,
Im trying to close unused services on a HP procurve 4000m switch.
Anyone knows what are these ports used for and how can I close them :
1506/tcp
1513/tcp
1024/udp
1025/udp
1507/udp
I also wish to close the tftp server and web server, how can I achieve that ?
Elad.

http://www.iana.org/assignments/port-numbers
gives a list of registered usages for the ports you mention but they don't make a lot of sense so I would have no idea how to close them. 1024 is reserved,1025 is blackjack,1506 is Universal Time daemon (utcd), 1507 is symplex, 1513 is fujitsu-dtc. I think you will need to talk directly to HP about them. I doubt they even know the ports are open.
To turn off the web browser refer to the section on Console/Serial Link on p6-19 in your Management and Configuration Guide. Don't see anything for TFTP.
