Huawei E220 wont work with HP pavilion with vista

Hey

I just bought an wireless modem to the usb named Huawei E220. I couldnt get it to work so I talked with my internet company. They said that no Huawei E220 usb modem would work with HP's computers with vista.

HELP! What to do?

Hi Carina,

What operator do you have? A friend in Sweden has the Huawei E220 and operator "Tre" and that works fine on an HP dv9000 something running the HP OEM Vista.

I just remembered that in order to make it work on Vista we did need to upgrade the software on the modem. It used to be working fine on W2K and the upgrade needed to be done on a W2K OS in order to get the modem to work on Vista.

Although it's a Swedish site there are many tips and tricks for the modem, upgrades etc...
