So here's the problem:
Each server's iLO (all 6) are connected, and I could access them locally in the network or remotely via vpn.
One day, about 4 weeks after I installed the servers, I couldn't access or ping any of them locally or remotely. No configurations changed.
I had to shut down each server and disconnect the power momentarily, reconnect power and turn the sever back on before I was able to access the iLO. Doing just a restart didn't work.
Now this is a recurring event that happens pretty much on a daily basis.
Any one have any idea?
Thanks in advance!

Re: iLO 2 Recurring Lost Connection Problem!
I went to the first link and it says that this issue is extremely rare. This is happening on 6 out of 6 web servers...so I don't know if this is the issue, but I'll give it a shot.
and the second link doesn't seem to work.

Re: iLO 2 Recurring Lost Connection Problem!
All 6GB of RAM shows up on these severs, but I didn't add /PAE to the boot.ini.
Could this still be an issue?

Re: iLO 2 Recurring Lost Connection Problem!
An Integrated Lights-Out 2 (iLO 2) Shared Network Port may lose network connection when the server enters hibernation. This can occur on a HP server with the following configuration:
1. The server has Integrated Lights-Out 2 (iLO 2).
2. The server is configured with Microsoft Windows Server 2003 (any edition).
3. The server has an HP NC370i Multifunction Gigabit Network Adapter or Embedded NC373i Multifunction Gigabit Network Adapter.
4. The iLO 2 Shared Network Port is connected to a single mode 100 Mb/s (or faster) hub or switch.
For solution on listed above problems see next HP Support doc:

Re: iLO 2 Recurring Lost Connection Problem!
My guess is this proves any networking problem wrong, so its something locally on each server.

Re: iLO 2 Recurring Lost Connection Problem!
Are you connecting the Shared Network Port to a dual mode 10/100 Mb/s hub or switch?
After change of the settings did you reboot the box?

Re: iLO 2 Recurring Lost Connection Problem!
Weird thing is, when I go into the server and go to the HP System Management Homepage - and I reboot the iLO from there, it works again.
HP techs are saying that the system boards on all 6 servers are bad, meaning that they all went bad at the exact same time.

Re: iLO 2 Recurring Lost Connection Problem!
Currently i have the same issue with one of my server, the configuration settings seems ok, other servers work properly. I need install Windows for that server via ILO. But I can't have a proper connection for that server, the network connection was down periodically.
the ILO page sometimes shows this message:
Network Access Message: The page cannot be displayed
Technical Information (for Support personnel)
Error Code: 504 Proxy Timeout. The connection timed out. (10060)
IP Address: 10.187.67.53
Date: 10/3/2008 6:12:00 PM
Server: sgpisa01.xxx.xxx.xxx
Source: proxy
Would you please advise me what I can do to resolve this issue, thank you in advance
