Re: Monitoring for 8 Procurve 2610-48 PWR Sitches
Hello,
did you evaluate Procurve Manager? It is a commercial out-of-the-box Management solution for E series HP switches. It will bring you some nice features like:
- Monitoring of the devices
- showing utilization of the most utilized ports
- Alerting when devices will go down or exceeding traffic thresholds
- Collecting configuration files of the switches
- automated software updates
- automated VLAN configuration
...
Even having only 8 switches, it will make your life a little bit easier. You can evaluate all features in a 60 days trial version.
You can also get all your needed features in some open source tools (like scotty, cacti, MRTG, ..) but it will need some time for customizing.
Cheers,
Michael
