poor network performance
I connected sun 3500 to switch.server is configured for full duplex.but on switch,in the o/p of SHOW PORT STATUS command it is showing a-half a-100 10/100/1000. is it correct. my problem is i unable to load oracle
on sun server which is nfs mounted from nas 8000 storage.pls suggest possible reasons & solutions.

Try first to set switch to full or, better, auto... Let us know if it solves, and if it doesn't tell us about error message.

If the server is truly configured for 100/Full, the switch port must be configured 100/Full to match.
Do not set the switch port Auto unless the server is configured Auto, otherwise you will experience a duplex miss-match (which is what you describe)
