Running OSPF over LACP

Hi,

the idea is to run OSPF over LACP.
e.g. a ring of 8 6200yl. Instead of having additional (expensive) 10Gbit interfaces, let´s take 4 ports on each device and make a LACP trunk. Then activate OSPF and have some equal cost loadbalancing over it.

Will this work?

I'd recommend using static trunks for switch-switch connections rather than LACP.
There's no reason why it shouldn't work, which part do you see as a particular issue?

This will not work. I think you want to connect 4 ports from one switch to one port on 4 switches? Correct? That is not possible. The trunk (static or LACP) needs to be terminated on the same switch. If I misunderstood, please post drawing.

Re: Running OSPF over LACP

You don't need ECMP for aggregated links (LACP or otherwise). OSPF sees it as a single connection, and load-balancing is done by the switch itself. You can pick what the criterion for load balancing is from a few options (which are switch-dependent, I don't know the specifics for a 6200yl).
