update 2524 with 2.13 firmware

I have several 2524's that are running 2.13 firmware. They do not seem to be able to be updated to 5.x firmware via the procurve manager, and I do not see any older ones posted on HP. Is there a particular firmware they must be flashed to first???

Only the new configuration is not backward compatible, if you would downgrade your firmware. Have you tried to use any other tftp server and updating the firmware "manually" from cli or menu?

You can find older firmware on HP ftp server. Just try to download last firmware, get FTP URL and delete file name. In the filename switch model and firmware version is encoded.
