VRRP and failover
I'm looking for a easy way to force a failover between two Procurve 5400 switchies running VRRP as owner and backup. I wonder if someone knows what this command do and how it works:
vrrp vrid 1 failover
note: this is a vlan commando
Can't find any information about this commando in the manual for zl switchies

Re: VRRP and failover
Syntax:
failover [with-monitoring]
Allows you to force the Backup VR operating as Master to relinquish ownership of the VR instance. The command is executed in VRID instance context.
you might be better off looking at vrrp 'priority' to control failover.
