4500g no reply in tracert traceroute

We have one 4500G with three VLAN interfaces.  The switch responds to a ping from any subnet but will not respond in a tracert from Windows boxes on any subnet.  It does respond in a traceroute from an old Unix box.  I know this isn't a big problem, but it is quite annoying.  Can anyone explain this behavior?
